There was a time when you got a cassette tape back in the days, it was a whole ordeal. You had to set up your cassette tape player just so right and if you were lucky enough to have some decent headphones, you pushed the play and prepared yourself for whatever audio experience was contained on that tape.
Dallas, Texas by way of New Orleans, Louisiana super producer Kid Infamous coming off of his run of producer-led projects like his latest project with Lyrikill titled EAT 3 is back with his latest offering titled Tape Deck Muzak: Side A-The Playback.
This project is sticking true to that raw cassette tape ethos with Kid Infamous on the boards and features from Lyrikill, Melaphrye Kevin Cooks, J-Dubble, Mr. J’ai, Proper English, Truth Universal, Beeb, Boogie Bang, DJ Ekwality, Kory Castine and John Deaux. A gumbo of lyricism with classic southern-based boom bap beats knocking through your speakers. You can hear the roux coming through, fasho ya bish!
