New Orleans-based MC Alfred Banks has returned with a new project — the Mere-Exposure Effect EP. It marks Banks’ follow-up to The Beautiful, which he dropped last March.
Produced by fellow NOLA artist Malik Ninety Five, the five-track EP begins with the upbeat joint “Arrival” and wraps up with the highly personal “Toro.”
“For me, I wanted to follow up The Beautiful with some more relaxed,” Banks explains to HipHopDX. “I needed folks to have fun with me this go round while still giving out bars. It’s something totally different for me and I had to explore other sides of my writing to knock this out.”
